Our community foundation has evolved from the grassroots of our community. Our vision and values were established through a long process of community engagement that included people from corner to corner of our county. The 2020 Coalition, a large and diverse group, brings the voice of the community to the governing board.
The 2020 Coalition includes people from all sectors, all economic and educational levels, gender and race. Membership on the Coalition is open and as it continues to grow, our strategy is to form task forces around specific areas of interest and expertise such as housing, culture, environment and education, being careful not to diminish our capacity to think and act together as much as possible.
The 2020 Coalition allows everyone in the community to be engaged while protecting the community endowment; meeting the needs of donors; and allows for the changing priorities of the community as determined by the community.
